JUST SOME TEXT // 1

Current stream of consciousness:

1) My fiance and I have been talking a lot A LOT about babies lately.  Who says you have to get married before you have a baby?
2) Give me more white chocolate and you will have found my weakness.
3) Anyone else getting ready for the Bruce Jenner special interview?  I'm not normally into that whole Kardashian-Jenner clan (well, not anymore at least) but with all of the buzz surrounding him, I give in.  You have me hooked me, media.
4) Are dogs really a true realization of what children will be, because if so I better not have two boys like my dogs, otherwise my voice, pfff wait I WON'T HAVE A VOICE.
5) Saturday to do: Take car in to get windshield fixed, change cell phone plan, go over art readings, snag puppy cuddles, Star Wars marathon with Jordan, et cetera et cetera.

What does your weekend look like?

A HAUL // NYX COSMETICS

Shopping online is my addiction.  I simply cannot get enough.  So, because of this and the fact that NYX Cosmetics was BOGO 50% off, I recently made a fairly hefty purchase from Ulta.  Also, because I had a 20% off ENTIRE PURCHASE coupon, and how could I not use that?  How?  AND, I used my points to save an extra $10, so in total I saved about $30 on this purchase, oh yeah that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

Enough babbling, onto the products...

WEEKEND SNAPSHOTS // 1

This weekend was a good one; full of laziness, couch potato-ness, and GAME OF THRONES!  Does anyone else watch the series?  Who am I kidding, who doesn't watch the series, amIright?  We started watching after season 2 and have never looked back.  Other than Game of Thrones and being a lazy potato, I bought a map for $10 from Hobby Lobby and spray painted some logs gold.  You know, everyday stuff.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS // MARCH

And so ends another month in the year of 2015.  I know everyone always says this, but HOLY COW how is this year just flying by?!  I honestly don't mind it, because it means we're just that much closer to Christmas. "You said the 'C' word!"  Why, yes.  Yes, I did.  And I'll say it again.  CHRISTMAS.

Anyway, these are a few of my favorite things. When the dog bites! When the bee stings!  For real, though.

This candle. THIS CANDLE.  Why had I never bought a mint scented candle before?  I'm usually attracted to the more "oh my gosh, this smells like cupcakes and pumpkin and sugar and all pastries ever" you know?  But then I picked up this Olivia Blake candle at Homegoods (my favorite place ever in the history of ever) and my spring dreams were realized.  This has such a fresh, light scent without being overpowering like most springtime floral-y candles can be.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless, yes yes YES.  I have, um should we say, not the most dry - normal skin.  It's downright oily.  Like, hello makeup looks flawless, but 2 hours later becomes a shiny mess.  I've always been a fan of the Fit Me concealer, but never tried the original formula foundation because I heard that it left quite a dewy finish, and if you're skin is even the least bit oily, you'll know that dewy finish = major mess.  It just doesn't stick.  So, when I saw Maybelline came out with the Matte + Poreless version, ohh, was I excited!
This foundation wears absolutely beautifully throughout the day.  It's more of a medium to buildable coverage, but I like to apply a very thin layer, so it looks just like my skin but better.  I love pairing it with the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face.

This Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum is life.  Alright, I admit, that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it is a beautiful product.  I received this in my January Boxycharm, and honestly at first I was like, "meh".  I had never tried a serum before, and I'm not really into bronzing or tanning or looking like anything other than a pale creature of the indoors.  But, after working with this throughout the month, I've really grown to love it.  Let's start from application to finish.

1) I like to apply this both in the morning and at night, and I like to use a lot of this. A LOT.  When you use the dropper to take out the serum, it fills up about 1-2 centimeters of it.  I use those 1-2 centimeters allll over my face (the packaging directs only 2-3 drops, but eh, that's just a suggestion, right?).  I'll also go through and apply another dropper-full of serum all over my neck and chest.  No one likes a tan face and pale neck, that's just wrong.

2) I apply this in segments, because this stuff dries fast.  I start with the right cheek, then left, then forehead, and finally nose and chin.  It leaves a bit of a sticky finish but - HOLD UP DON'T LEAVE, it's a good sticky, promise!  That's one reason I LOVE applying this in the morning!  The "sticky" finish makes it a perfect base for your foundation.  It really clings on and makes your makeup not. want. to. budge.

3) The bronzing effect is gradual.  I notice myself looking a little more tan and glowy after about a week of using this.  It doesn't leave me orange, but I feel like it might be iffy for those pale ladies with pink undertones, since my skin is more olive-y.

Now, I know I'm going on and ON about this product, but that just means it really is a favorite of mine.  The last thing I wanted to say is that I love that I can use this in place of moisturizer, especially now that I'm no longer living in the frozen tundra, because spring has sp-RUNG.
We made it to the end!  My last favorite of the month has definitely been simple pendant necklaces.  I'm usually more of a statement necklace kind of girl.  Tribal-inspired, beading, coin details, and jingling-and-jangling so much that you can hear me coming from a block away is more my style.  But since I bought these two from Forever 21 and American Eagle (<- similar), I just can't get enough.  The simplicity is so modern while still interest-catching, especially since all I wear are solid black, gray, and white tees.

What have been some of your favorites from the past month - beauty related, fashion, or otherwise?

EPISODE 1 // FINALLY

This is it.  This is what I've finally decided on.

I've wanted to start a blog for many a'year now.  A few of years ago I actually did start one - "Simply Inspiration" it was called.  I think I posted everyday for almost 3 months. 3. Whole. Months!  But, I was never really happy with it.  I mean, what can  you expect as an 18 year old, barely legal, barely with any life experience, "What exactly is my life" college student?  I had a few outfit posts here and there, a post about my tattoos (because OH MAN, everyone wants to know all about my tattoos, right?), and I even had some comments on a couple of posts.  Whew, I was getting big time.

I decided I didn't have a clear vision, aesthetic, or direction of how I wanted my blog to go.  Does anyone really when they're first starting a blog?  Maybe so, probably not.  I, being the perfectionist I am, went ahead and deleted it.  I want to start completely fresh.  And I did.  About 5 other times after that.  Still with no clear vision.

"Oh, woe is me."

I still feel like I don't have a super clear direction that I want to take my blog, but I feel like I'm nearing the vicinity of one.  I'm still trying to figure out who I totally am, but I am getting there (yeah, yes, sure, maybe?).  I've developed a total aesthetic of who I am, realized I'm totally a sucker for trends, and I totally really REALLY have come to the conclusion that if I want to create an online scrapbook, journal, and recollection of thoughts, memories, and inspiration during my journey of finding who I truly am, I just need to do it.  This blog is never going to be perfect, nor am I.

So welcome all, to BREEHO: A lifestyle journal.
